Epoxy Calculator

Calculations are estimates. Surface texture, absorption, and technique may affect final usage.

  • Regular Countertop Pour

A regular countertop pour typically uses a single base color or carefully controlled layered colors to create a smooth, uniform finish. The epoxy is applied more evenly with less movement, resulting in consistent coverage across the surface.

Since the design is more controlled and requires less flow, it uses less epoxy overall.

    Typical Usage:

    3–4 oz per square foot

    Best For:

    • Solid color countertops
    • Clean, consistent finishes
    • Simple or minimal designs
  • Exotic Pour

An exotic pour (also called a dirty pour) involves mixing multiple colored epoxy resins into one container and pouring them at the same time. As the colors flow together, they naturally create marble-like movement, veining, and swirled patterns similar to natural stone.

Because multiple colors are used and additional material is needed to allow movement and blending, this technique requires more epoxy per square foot.

    Typical Usage:

    5–7 oz per square foot

    Best For:

    • Marble or granite-style looks
    • High movement and flowing designs
    • Unique, one-of-a-kind countertops
