Not all Epoxy Countertop Remodel projects begin with ugly counters. For a full scale remodel, this project began with zero counters.
To begin, we take very precise measurements. We buy large sheets of 3/4 inch thick MDF, and double them up by wood glue and clamping together prior to cutting to size. By doubling up, we end up with a 1.5 inch thick final slab for counters.
Starting from scratch, we had to build the counters prior to applying epoxy.
We built these counters from doubled up 3/4 inch MDF.
Original design was on the right. Client asked for more, which led us to the final design on the left.
